FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to common questions about working with IMO Partners.

No. We do not make income claims or guarantees. Your earnings depend entirely on your production, market conditions, client relationships, and many other factors outside our control. We provide transparent comp structures, support systems, and carrier access — but actual results are up to you and your business execution.

Lead systems are optional, not required. We offer multiple lead models (inbound, outbound, referral support) with clear costs and ownership terms. If you have your own lead generation or referral network, we fully support that. We're not a lead company — we're an IMO that happens to offer lead options for producers who need them. During your review call, we'll walk through all available lead systems, pricing, and historical performance data so you can make an informed decision.

No forced exclusivity. We understand that experienced producers often maintain multiple carrier and IMO relationships. We'll discuss what makes sense for your specific situation. Some producers consolidate everything with us for simplicity and better comp. Others maintain a hybrid approach. We're flexible.

Typically $300k+ in annual production, but we review each situation individually. If you're trending toward that level with clear growth trajectory, strong fundamentals, and the right mindset, we'd still like to talk. It's not a hard cutoff — it's about mutual fit.

We support life insurance, annuities, and Medicare. Many of our producers are multi-line, but we also work with specialists focused on a single product category.

We provide a clear, written compensation structure before contracting. Your payout depends on your production level, product mix, and relationship tenure. No teaser rates. No surprise overrides. We show you exactly what we earn from carriers and what you'll earn from us — all in writing. During your review call, we'll walk through the specific payout grid based on your actual production and product focus.

We're not a training organization. We work with experienced producers who already know how to sell. That said, we do provide product-specific education, carrier updates, and market intelligence. But we're not teaching basic sales skills or motivation — we assume you already have that.

Our model is built for experienced producers. If you're brand new to the industry, we're likely not the right fit at this stage of your career.

We work with producers nationwide. Specific carrier access and contracting may vary by state based on regulations and carrier appetite.

No upfront fees to contract with us. Our compensation comes from carrier overrides on your production, which is standard in the IMO model. All costs are disclosed clearly before contracting.

We typically review applications within 24-48 hours. If there's a potential fit, we'll send a scheduling link for a private review call. The call itself is 30-45 minutes. If we both decide to move forward, carrier contracting typically takes 2-4 weeks depending on the carriers and states involved.

Not a problem. We can work around existing contracts in many cases. We'll discuss your current carrier relationships during the review call and figure out the best path forward.

Yes. If we both decide there's a fit, we can arrange conversations with current producers in similar lines of business or markets. We respect their privacy, so this is coordinated with their consent.

Step 1: We review your application (typically within 24-48 hours) Step 2: If there's potential fit, you receive a scheduling link for a private call Step 3: Review call where we show you comp, lead options, support structure, and carrier access Step 4: You decide if it makes sense for your business — no pressure, no obligation
